php login script does not work !!!

well i was using ubuntu 9.10 and everything worked like a charm. Now i switch to arch linux and this script does almost not work at all. For example i am trying to login as administrator, but this is impossible. Also if i try to login as admin, when i have already log in as a user, it redirects me to the admin control panel, but none function is working properly.
What is happening? can somehow fix this?

from what i found the problem relies within php.ini. Can anyone post his php.ini so i can find what is going wrong?

a little more dig into this:
Warning: mysql_query(): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

well.... i checked dbc.php and the password was there. So? i am open to suggestions...

i am using arch linux as my server...

Which password? The root pw or the db pw is in dbc?
This msg is saying that access is denied for root.

As tommy mentioned its trying to connect with root as the username check that this is also correct. If you are on a shared host then it will most probably not be root.
